The Work Starts Underground

A solid build begins with honest dirt work.

Tooele Valley sits on rocky, high-desert ground — caliche, cobble, and hardpan that punish cheap machines and shortcut grades. The contractors we connect you with dig it properly, compact it right, and set the elevations so what goes on top actually holds.

Every job starts with a free Blue Stakes locate so buried lines stay buried, and ends with the site graded to shed water away from the structure. No guesswork, and nothing left buried to surprise you later.

For Tooele & Tooele Valley

Local crew,
grades that hold.

A measured approach to earthwork — dug clean, compacted right, and graded to drain, for the way Tooele Valley properties really sit.

How It Works

From raw ground to ready site.

It starts with a free on-site walk — we look at the ground, the access, and where the water needs to go, then connect you with a licensed local contractor and a clear written quote. Blue Stakes gets called before a bucket ever touches dirt.

Then the crew digs, hauls, backfills, and grades to the elevations your plans call for — compacted, sloped to drain, and left ready for footings, flatwork, or gravel.

Good to Know

Questions, answered.

Do I need a permit to grade or excavate?

It depends on scope and your city or county. Small yard leveling usually doesn't, but larger grading, hauling in fill, digging near a slope or waterway, or any foundation work generally does. The contractor we connect you with pulls the right permits before starting.

What about buried utility lines?

Every dig starts with a free Blue Stakes (811) locate — Utah law requires it. Call a few business days ahead and the utilities mark their lines at no charge, so nothing buried gets hit. The crews we work with never skip it.

Which areas do you serve?

Tooele and the surrounding Tooele Valley — including Grantsville, Stansbury Park, Erda, Lake Point, and Rush Valley.

What does excavation cost?

There's no flat rate — it depends on how much dirt moves, the soil and rock, site access, and how far material has to be hauled. Tooele Valley's rocky, high-desert ground can add to a dig. The on-site estimate is free, with a clear written quote before any work starts.

Nothing Left Buried

graded to drain last.
